Sunday, November 29, 2015 - A particularly ripe nose of both blue and red pinot fruit; raspberry, dark cherry with distinct notes of blueberry and plum come through with pepper, licorice, chocolate and lavender. Utterly fantastic palate entry with the most delicate tannin and bits of lavender perfume in the mouth. As this opens up the fruit becomes richer, a bit more crunchy, minerally and sorbet-like all at the same time. A bit more oak comes to the forefront and begins to muddle some of the flavors. Needs time in the bottle to develop and integrate! Lovely depth of fruit; rich, deep and dynamic!
