91 Points

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 - Pinots, Riesling, Dim Sum and Duck (Asia Grand, Odeon Towers): Much, much better than the flawed bottle we had the last time - this was actually really nice, especially when paired with our different dim sum courses. The nose was nice and lifted, with some rubbery, petroleum notes drizzled over aromas of white peach, chinese pears and flowers. Subtle, but very attactive. The palate was certainly not a blockbuster in terms of depth and concentration, but there was a lovely sense of balance and precision throughout, from the wine's lively lemony attack to a mid-palate showing some chinese pear and stone fruit accents, even a bit of Fuji apple in there, and finally into a nicely satisfying finish with a touch of sweet flowers. Not bad at all.
