Wednesday, January 25, 2006 - Nice deep colour. Some fruit on the nose, but mostly oak and density. Sour oak upfront, slight smokiness, big scratchy tannins. Somewhat smoother finish with a little spiciness and cherry notes. Sadly this is not distinguishable as anything unique, which it should given its lineage, but a modern generic wine made by the numbers. Not awful, moderately good with braised veal roast, but sad nonetheless.
