Sunday, October 8, 2023 - PnP but drank over 2hr. Black center with crimson bricked edges.
On open, full of VA, so much so that I thought this was DOA. However, it blew off after 30 min. Mushroom, saddle leather, soy, black soil, touch of concentrated cola on the nose. The palate had bright red cherry, red raspberry, sweet citrus, and a gorgeous medium length finish. Plenty of acid to go the distance, but not sure this gets better.
Paired perfectly with Morgan Ranch wagyu kabobs in a gravy over baked rosemary red potato cakes.
Oh no! on open, 91 after 30 min, 92 after 45 min and held there.
