Friday, March 22, 2013 - Grenache (85%) and Syrah (15%) blend. Popped and poured. Medium garnet with aroma of cherry. In the mouth, medium-bodied with kirsch, blackberries, licorice, spice and a hint of white pepper. Medium-length finish. This wine pales (literally) in comparison to the better 2010 Cercius. It was aged in concrete rather than the obligatory new oak and is approachable now. Excellent QPR. This wine experiences significant deterioration with 24 hrs of air, so don't cellar and drink now. Multiple bottles from different retailers tasted with identical notes.
