Tuesday, February 25, 2020 - A peek into some 2000 Bordeaux (Margeaux Brasserie, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is deep and balanced with pencil lead, tobacco notes, cedar, dark red cherries, raspberries, cranberries, currants, and some floral tones. This is an easy nose to get lost in while also showing off a brawny side to the tones.

Taste: The feel is Full bodied with medium acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The tannins are starting to resolve and the feel is beautifully balanced with pencil lead, tobacco notes, cedar, dark red cherries, cranberries, raspberries, currants, and some floral tones.

Overall: This is killer and is really getting into a great spot. There is so much depth and balance with a power that is starting to be tamed. This should easily last for years to come and make some great, old bones.
