Thursday, April 27, 2023 - Second time tasting this in the past two months. Notes very similar. Beautiful amber color. Tastes young with the expected apricot and honey, but also with elegant floral overtones. The finish just lingers and lingers. The nose is very complex and mesmerizing. It was hard to put the glass down. Classic Barsac. I believe this wine is going to last a long time and is just beginning to hit its optimum drinking window. I can easily see this picking up another few points in five more years. Tasted at a Commanderie dinner paired with a 1988 Ch. Coutet, which, while very nice, was completely outclassed.
