Not suprisingly, it was extremely rich and ripe on the palate, but there was not enough tannin and acidity to keep it in balance to my palate. Those who like rich Amarones will like this wine more than I, but I found it a bit over the top. The Apparation which I also tasted was greatly preferred and I rated a classic wine.
