Saturday, November 26, 2016 - Medium ruby. Medium intensity scents of dark cherries, plum with somewhat sweet spice and dried herbs in the background. Meaty nose with subtlety, elegance and savory character. The mid palate exhibits pretty much the same profile i.e. meaty with dark fruit, with layers of complexity, freshness and elegance. The tannins are almost fully resolved while the acidity is low to medium leading to a satisfying finish. Very old world I would say, thoroughly enjoyable. Wish I had one more to age it some more although it is probably at peak right now.
