Monday, November 4, 2013 - Nice aromas coming out to the glass, red fruits meet plums and black olive. Softly textured palate of tart red and black fruit, blood, pepper and bramble. There is a touch of greenness in the finish but it's not a bad thing, I think it goes well with the rest of the wine. As you take more sips the tannins sneak up on you but a bite of food calms them down, they don't overwhelm the palate or food in my opinion. Relatively short finish but no gaps or otherwise noticeable flaws. Rather, this is a cheap, easy drinking Bordeaux that provides good pleasure now and plays nice with food. I'm happy to have a couple more for mid-week consumption. 85-86
