92 Points

Friday, August 15, 2014 - Color is surprisingly youthful with deep ruby-garnet with mild bricking; nose has moderate intensity, good balance, and subtle complexity with some black fruits, blackberry, but really dominant green notes with mint, bell pepper, eucalyptus; palate is full bodied, well integrated tannins that are not yet drying, some juicy black fruit that fades towards the midpalate, nice slight menthol complexity; finish is short-medium length. This is a real treat and shows great balance and old-world complexity with new world fruit, perhaps only a bit short on the palate which may be due to slightly faded fruit given its age. Still enjoyable and I wouldn't be surprised if it persists a while longer. 92-93
Update: even more complexity with air with some peppery spice on the nose and palate.
