Saturday, March 21, 2015 - Very nice Nebbiolo. Bright fruit. Nose moves from strawberry at onset to nice spice/anise. A little earth. The acid is up front and center on the palate, but the fruit comes out strong in the mid-palate. The finish is what holds the score back on this wine. There is a little harshness and the integration may be missing a little fruit and tannin to carry it to the level of really memorable. I found that this wine paired wonderfully with a mushroom ravioli tossed with sun-dried tomato and Parmesan. Score on this bottle was significantly higher than last one, and I remember that bottle is a much poorer light. Not sure why.
