Friday, February 3, 2006 - Good dark purple color. Mild discoloration at the rim, but still pretty youthful in appearance. Hard to avoid the big beefy bell pepper and earthy nose. Cherry, leather and bell pepper hit the tongue with a lot of force. Lots of tannin but they don't overwhelm and there is a little heat as this bordeaux blend goes down the gullet. I am not sure what I like more, the wine or what I paid for it?
