Sunday, September 13, 2015 - Coravin fun - Dom. de Chevalier plus lunch (My place, parramatta, sydney): Cork was dry but had obviously bled to the tip. The port was also under a wax seal, but this capsule appeared to have had more than a few knocks so a certain amount of trepidation was exhibited by all on approach. Aromas of figs, walnuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, leather, raisins and a bit of ethanol. More of the same on the palate with some coffee notes. A bit flat but as I'd tried (and drank) a reasonable amount of wine by this stage perhaps, truth be told, it was me that was the flat one. Anyway, it certainly wasn't out of condition which was a bonus.
