95 Points

Sunday, November 20, 2016 - An intense and broad-shouldered Syrah blend. Big blackberry, charcoal, black plum and purple berry fruit notes. A beautiful and powerful zing of brambly black raspberry and sage remind you that the small dollop of Grenache means serious business and isn't going to be ignored.

I found the interplay of flavors to be very interesting and kept me coming back for more all evening. Held its own for nearly four hours. Intense and powerful all the way through without ever being a brute or overtly heavy. This needed about an hour in the decanter to be a little more approachable than it initially was on PnP.

94-95 points. A very solid Syrah blend with a number of years ahead of quality consumption. I'll let my remaining bottle rest for another year or two if I can help it just to see what other flavors might emerge.
