For those holding bottles, it is now coming into its prime drinking window. Drink with confidence now, or hold for the next few years if you feel like it. It's a pretty amazing bottle of Syrah. Super concentrated without being heavy. Amazing purity of fruit. Craftsmanship of winemaking is painfully evident. Amazing!
This has renewed my faith in Torrin. One of those wines that makes you regret not buying a case four years ago on release.
96-97+ points. A little more modern than other Syrahs from the region under the same vintage (a la Saxum and Alban).

10/18/2019 8:44:00 AM - Yep. I’ve unfortunately written off Torrin for the most part, especially since now you have to buy Akasha with their other wines if you want to get it direct. I don’t like houses that bundle allocations with wines I wouldn’t otherwise want (the reason I usually despise joining “clubs”). The JD100 seemed to put them in a “big for their britches” status. Oh well. The wine is good, no question. It’s always unfortunate when the pricepoint jumps up in the secondary market and buying direct is stifled by new policies that restrict the consumer from just buying the wine he or she wants.
