The tannins were pokey and a bit too astringent at first blush, though they softened in the glass as the night wore on. Acid just a little too prominent as well. Everything improved with air, with some black fruit notes shinning through after a bit to balance the tart cranberry, leading me to believe this will be better in a year or so.
