Saturday, December 20, 2014 - Dark garnet and noticeable bricking with medium viscosity in the glass. Nose of ripe cherry, plum, singed tobacco, strawberry, olive, mushroom and pencil lead. Secondary camphor. Med-full body, rich and angular with insanely ripe red fruit and plum on the palate. Loads of tobacco, menthol, pepper, volcanic minerals, tea and cocoa. Bordering on too angular, which I found appealing. Sturdy and paired nicely with many dishes. Med-long finish.
