Monday, June 17, 2013 - Dark appealing purple in the glass medium to full bodied. This Zin doesn’t slap you in the face with fruit; it’s much more subtle than that. There is blackberry, cherry, a bit of strawberry and a slight hint of blueberry with the expected spice, pepper and some licorice for good measure. More complex than AVV’s Sin Zin and not quite as sweet (blackberry no blackberry preserves). It was a bit rough around the edges on opening, but, given some time and some air, smoothed out and settled into subtle, relaxed balance.
