Tuesday, December 31, 2013 - Popped and poured. Amazing nose of some of the most intense baking spices and holiday fruitcake I have ever smelled along with some cherry and caramel/vanilla near the end. So very different from any other Flowers pinot I have had. This smelled much richer and like it saw more new oak than some of their other wines. The aromas continued to the palate with sweet, lush red fruit and spices with some silky sweet tannins and medium+ acid. Nice finish. This wine could have benefited from a decanting because it really continued to open up and shine towards the end.
