Sunday, December 31, 2023 - Opened alongside the 2011. Popped and poured. More immediately accessible than the 2011. Soft fruit and earth on the nose, on the palate fine, well-integrated acid, very little tannin, pretty classic Russian River notes. The finish is nice and surprisingly long given the softness.

With the bottle open a couple hours the wine becomes quite delicate, and I don’t think it stood up well with the food (as compared to the 2011). This is, however, a great Pinot to open up pre-meal / with snacks, and it was the initial favorite of the group. I will probably drink my remaining 3 bottles within the next year, though I will space it out to see if the note changes at all.
