Wednesday, January 1, 2020 - Notes maybe not to be trusted on this one! About the 6th wine consumed on NYE. 18 months since my last bottle, and I'm coming down a point or three on my last score. This is still a fine wine in every aspect, but it's in between stages a bit. Lost, is the big bold primary fruit stage and it's not quite in that perfect secondary stage yet. Dark fruit with well integrated tannins and acidity. It's developed a hint of camphor/pine needles on the back end. Cedar has receded. A very nice wine that is evolving. Another one leaving it's big Cali fruit bomb past just a bit.

1/1/2020 4:42:00 PM - Definitely a few points down from the bottle we had last year. Then I thought the fruit was in a great place and he overall structure was excellent. This bottle a little older was still good but a bit subdued. 93 for me.
