Thursday, March 7, 2013 - The Genie is not ready to be let out of the bottle yet! Nose wasn't really calling out in any aromatic way on the pop and pour, and this wine tasted like it needs time to evolve and settle in before emerging into something cohesive and elegant. Corked and tried second day and still disjunct. Having drunk my share of Crowley, and loving this winemaker's wines, I'm going to practice patience and understanding and open this in a year or two. It promises much, and I have expectations that it will meet them but right now, drinking it was like the wine was wrapped in a sarong, wrapped in a pashmina scarf, wrapped in a toga. Obscured and opaque right now.
