At first the structure is hard to get through, but with considerable air, it smooths out and reveals the underlying material, which is quite nice indeed. On the palate it's medium-bodied effort supported by good structure, deep red fruits and a medium+ finish. Probably better in a couple of years, or with a substantial decant.
