Thursday, March 1, 2012 - I genuinely enjoy this dessert wine. There are almost too many aromas to identify...coffee, vanilla, chocolate, dark berries, cherries. It's the same on the palate. It's almost as if it knows what you want to taste, and you can taste it. Sweet, but that's what I expect as an after dinner dessert. There is some acid and tannins which prevent this from too closely resembling a syrup. I would note that this and the previous bottle had notably more oak present than a bottle I had purchased and consumed a couple of years ago.
