Friday, June 5, 2015 - GHW, Yarden, Pinot Noir 2008: This is IMHO one of the 3 best old world style Pinot Noir to ever come out of Israel. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels. Deep ruby in color with on the nose cherries, red currants, raspberries, dried flowers, loamy dirt, minerals and smoke. Medium-bodied and quite dry with on the palate tart red berry fruit, spices, wet earth, mushrooms, minerals, bracing acidity and tannins that gently coat the mouth with notes of coffee, earth and spices on the long finish. Magnificent. 14% Abv.
