Monday, December 31, 2018 - In our cellar since April 2016. Chilled in ice bath - very cold and popped and poured immediately. Wonderful golden straw color with plentiful fine bubbles. Amazing fruit hits you immediately - apple dominates. Light yeast on the nose. Light toasty bread flavor. Some nuttiness at the end. Great acid - well balanced with the other aspects. This is an outstanding sparkling wine - among the best that I have had in the last couple of years including those from Champagne and many that were more expensive. 94-95 pts in my opinion. As a Schramsberg club member, I got this for $80 which is an absolute steal.
