Saturday, March 23, 2024 - I probably should have decanted based on the amount of sediment, but no harm, no foul. I let it breathe in the bottle for 90 minutes. Nice bouquet, with red fruit and some earth. The structure and balance were well done. Elegant, which in my mind means it cannot be truly full-bodied & powerful but rather a strong medium-bodied wine approaching full-bodied. Nice flavors of cherry, minerals, earth, and vanilla, with a hint of raspberry. Medium-long delicious finish. Tannins have mostly integrated, so I think it is at its peak. This was my first exposure to this Chateau and I look forward to tasting more of its wine.
