Saturday, September 20, 2014 - Slow ox'd about 90 min. The nose shows a great mix of black currant & plum mixed w/ savory notes of olive and a hint of tobacco. Full bodied with more dark fruit & a pitch perfect mid palate weight. Tannins are supple & silky and this shows brilliant acidic structure. A hint of spice emerges on the finish.
Less than 100 cases. Like a time warp to old school Cabernet. Could enter the conversation with Heitz, Dunn, Woodward Canyon, etc. Served with NY strips. Very curious about how this will evolve.
