Sunday, October 30, 2022 - Purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this medium-to-deep garnet Pinot was uncorked and serially tasted over three hours. Serving up an intense bouquet of black raspberries, morello cherries, earth-laced plums, mulling spices, smoke and cocoa, it is a full-bodied Pinot with fresh acidity, well-integrated alcohol (14.4%), soft oak, seamless sweet tannins and impressive mid-palate density. Lengthy and smooth on the back end, it is clearly in its wheelhouse. Give it an hour of air if possible and enjoy it over the next five years (which reflects a much longer lifespan than what I estimated when last tasting this wine in 2015). Drink now-2027.
