Saturday, December 19, 2015 - Devin and I held an impromptu Christmas Veranda Time and were pleasantly surprised to have 35 people show up despite some surprise rain and week before the Big Day. We opened a total of six wines, three white, three red, trying to cover all the bases not knowing what pot luck side dishes would arrive. The main staple was a tomato based chicken orzo soup that was a hit.

This white burg continues to kick butt every time we try it. I wrote a great review of this back in June so for my Cellar Tracker friends I’ll try not to be too repetitive. Pale straw yellow and lots of flowers on the nose. (lavender maybe) It is a big giant beautifully built chardonnay, but as I mentioned it was not heavy like some. It was fruitier than buttery. You got minerals and fruits and just the right amount of acidity to keep you paying attention. I am down to just a couple of these now, but look forward to buying more at auction.
