Thursday, January 5, 2006 - Wow. Deep purple colour. Nose like a freshly surfaced road - tar and asphalt; something I've only ever experienced in Chateauneuf du Papes. Interestingly, the intensity of the nose varied from one glass to another (otherwise seemingly identical Spiegelaus). Hugely thick and fruity with a looong finish. Gorgeous stuff. Wish I had bought more.
