I am not a fan of this wine. It looks and tastes very dark. Flavors of dark berry, plum and a strong dose of tar. Slightly jammy and one-dimensional. Almost port-like in character, but with a different flavor profile. Overall effect is of an overpoweringly dark, heavy wine. Absolutely no elegance and very little complexity.

A good, but somewhat one-dimensional shiraz -- very dark color, medium to full bodied, with dark fruit (berry & plum) flavors. Not much complexity and very little in the way of tannins - tasted somewhat flat as a result. Overall has some of the elements to be a very good wine -- but comes up a little short on the tannins and complexity. I think it is mature and will not improve.

Wow. Deep purple colour. Nose like a freshly surfaced road - tar and asphalt; something I've only ever experienced in Chateauneuf du Papes. Interestingly, the intensity of the nose varied from one glass to another (otherwise seemingly identical Spiegelaus). Hugely thick and fruity with a looong finish. Gorgeous stuff. Wish I had bought more.
