Saturday, February 8, 2014 - Memorable Grand Champagne Tasting (St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. Beautifully toasted on the nose, nice streak of minerals, pastry cream, yeast, heady mousse, pear, bread. The palate is younger, yeasty, brioche, intense and powerful, but remains elegant and finessed, pear, apple, white peach, a touch chalky on the finish. Lovely. This was drinking a bit younger than the '04 Vilmart.

2/26/2014 1:50:00 PM - Thanks. I think it is fine to drink now, and if you had a few bottles I wouldn't hesitate to pop one. But if you only have a couple, I would hold off a for another year or so myself. Sorry, I don't recall the disgorgement date.
