Saturday, March 23, 2013 - For me, this was a rather tricky wine to pin down. The first night it showed sparks of lively fresh fruit backed nicely by baking spice notes. The second night toasted oak caramel comes on strong. Would have preferred a little more focus but I enjoyed it. I will say though - if some think Sea Smoke is heavy handed with the oak regiment this wine provides little relief.
