Tuesday, July 30, 2013 - Barolo and Barbaresco Tasting - Caro's Wnes (Caro's Wines, Auckland, New Zealand): Ripe fresh fennel - much riper and richer than the basic Barbaresco - very tannic and tarry, much more complex yet also light on its feet. The wine displays good clarity with a sweet entry, nice balance and dry ash on the finish.
