Friday, November 3, 2017 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Germany and Oregon (Asperg): Together with the 2008 Fürst my WOTN. Clean, medium intense, youtful-developing nose. Very cool, fine and elegant with red fruit (strawberry), dried fruit, floral notes (rose petals), herbs, soil, underbrush and fine oak.
Dry, medium+ intense, ripe and vibrant acidity. Medium+ fine and mellow tannin. 13% abv. On the palate again very elegant, cool flavors of violets, roses, red fruit, spices. Lots of finesse and drinking flow. Medium+/long finish. Very burgundian in style. I guess this wine is not yet at its peak and can age gracefully over the next 5-10+ years. 92-93++
