Monday, July 13, 2015 - Opened for an hour or so before tasting. Medium dark red. Complex nose of darker fruits and a floral/spicy quality as well. Lovely full taste and body with good richness but perhaps a bit lacking on the finish. This is quite intriguing as the dark fruits and flavors are quite distinct from the blood orange/red fruited wines one often get from this area. Vineyard management, clones, vinification or vintage? Very good.
