Sunday, January 14, 2018 - Making short ribs in a red wine braise for dinner tonight, so checking out a couple Chianti to pair up with the meat. According to CT, I haven't had this in over a year.

Translucent ruby in the glass; cherry fruit on the nose with an earthy note.

Sweet & sour cherry fruit on the palate, nice lift from the acidity, decent persistence. Very likable, and off this bottle, still has time in front of it for further nuance/development. I haven't started to dig into my 2010 Brunello yet, but if Chianti is an accurate precursor, I prefer 2010 to the 2006 vintage.
