Sunday, June 5, 2011 - Down to only 3 bottles from an earlier case buy and still drinking well. Drank tonight with a flat bread pizza made with fresh basil form the garden and the wine really sang. White pizza with no sauce, so Ondarre added the acidity. Nice tart cherry, an earthy, almost tarry note, and oak spice (mostly anise); lower in tannins and medium body, the perfect weight considering the choice of victuals. Staying with my Nov 2010 evaluation- A- for style & quality as a Reserva, A+ on value at $12 / pop, for a solid A overall.
