Saturday, August 30, 2014 - A really nice Texas white. The nose is clean, with peach, orange blossom, grapefruit. The palate has some residual sugar. The acidity is medium and manages to balance out the sugar. The alcohol is "only " 13.7% but seems medium (+) in intensity. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly oily. This wine's balance would be skewed towards the soft end of the spectrum but for a bracing mineral streak and a medium(+) long, slightly bitter finish. It paired nicely with a slightly spicy cajun shrimp with creamy andouille sausage pasta. Drink now or through 2015. 89+
