Saturday, April 23, 2022 - Sangiovese study (Chicago, IL): From magnum. Surprisingly thinner than I would have expected at this point, this wine is dominated by its 2008 acidity and if I'm being totally honest, not much else. The magnum format has meant that this wine is aging at a slow pace, and this feels a little awkward at the moment, as much of the primary characteristics seem to have faded away, while the secondary characteristics have yet to develop.
