Friday, October 18, 2013 - Initially wondered if the bottle was flawed as the overriding nose was one of sulphur which did not blow off despite time in both the open bottle and in a glass. With plenty of vigorous movement in the mouth, we eventually got red fruits with a medium tannic bite. However, the perception of sulphur continued for minutes on end.
Am unsure if the bottle was faulty as the sulphur was very off putting or this was the case due to over rigorous use of sulphur during the production and bottling of the wine.
