Sunday, October 9, 2005 - bright ruby / pink; lovely black cherry fruit, some mushroom on the very voluptuous side of pinot; beautiful, pure pinot attack – nice sweetness of fruit – the black cherry / blackberry is dominant again on the pallet – with a bright acid verve that initially masks the finish, yet with time blows off to reveal a lovely, integrated new-world pinot. Surprisingly good - for those who like Cali fruit and old-world back bone. Only real flaw is the lack of finishing depth. (16.5)
