Friday, November 2, 2018 - I was a little nervous about this purchase b/c through the green glass it looked possibly a little dark. It was a little amber color, have some slight oxidzed issues, but over all cork was good, pressure upon opening good, nose nice. Notes of caramel, walnut, and small forest berry pie, little tart mixed berries. medium rich, Pinot character clearly in evidence, good structure, still pretty powerful with fine bubbles that lasted but were not over abundant. excellent acidity, med+ finish. Tangy tartness in the finish. This was more developed that it should have been but was still very enjoyable, especially with a roasted chicken and fall vegetable. Disgorged 2007, 48 mo. on the lees. This could be 1999 or 2000 base or older.
