Wednesday, March 19, 2008 - This was a pristine bottle. Very clean appearance, with beautiful translucid red color and some slight fading at the rim. The nose was intoxicating, with sandalwood, cherries, berries, coffee beans, dark chocolate, and floral aromas. The palate was solid, perfectly balanced, rich, complex, and downright delicious. The finish was virtually endless, with complex overtones that brought back all the nuances found on the nose. A great bottle in what appears to be its peak performance. Drink now and in the next 2-4 years.
