Friday, April 26, 2024 - Beautiful, balanced, delicious wine. Dark, dense, but medium weight and surprisingly supple. Fruit leather on the nose - plum, cassis, black cherry. Earth and wet granite. Taste is more of the same, with smooth tannins and a bright pop. Dark fruit flavors, with espresso, cedar, truffles, and dark chocolate. Brooding but also sprightly. Imagine it will last for many more years, but in a really good place now and hard to imagine it improving much.

4/28/2024 2:57:00 PM - Decanted about 1.5 hrs before dinner, then drank it over a couple hours. Never sure how much air to give moderately aged wine, but I was happy.
