Thursday, October 16, 2008 - Found this to be a real pleasure to drink. Dark, somehwat musky nose. Slight notes of oak. Palate is red fruited, earthy, slightly meaty, smoky. Northern Rhonish. Just a perfect touch of acidity that makes it all pop. No sh*t, a great bottle of CA Syrah. Best I've had in some time. Wow. Reminiscent of a '99 Pegau from last weekend. I really like it right now.Glad to have few more for drinking over the next couple years.
