Thursday, April 14, 2016 - Somehow I've not written a note on this wine. 12bts down and 12 to go. Saline and marmalade nose, bit of dried apricot and vanilla in background. Nice and acidic with a broad mouthfeel and long finish of sour fruit (think very sour apple and lime). Lovely golden colour. This will last another 10yrs easily. It's a real food wine - needs cream/dairy and rich food to match the body. I enjoy it most with a rich carbonara, though it works ok with cheese and Mediterranean food generally (eg with lots of olive oil).
