Thursday, December 22, 2022 - After a mixed experience with the 07 earlier this week - wanted to try this. Still somewhat purple. Lovely nose - you have to sniff deep but it’s lovely - gentle forest floor, a little spice, bramble. On the palate - acid core, lovely structure - good tannin but still somewhat vibrant fruit. There’s just a hint of generosity to it - somehow a little polished - a lovely Syrah but maybe not quite the grippy cornas I was expecting .

Paired with baron bigod Brie, hafod cheddar and what we do in the shadows.
